VA to kVA :

Electrical Calculator
Enter volt-amps: VA
Result in kilovolt-amps: kVA
VA :
  • A volt-ampere is the unit for the apparent power in an electrical circuit.
  • The apparent power equals the product of root mean square voltage and root mean square current.
  • In direct current circuits, this product is equal to the real power in watts.
kVA :
  • A KVA is simply 1,000 volt amps.
  • A volt is electrical pressure.
  • An amp is electrical current.
  • A term called apparent power (the absolute value of complex power, S) is equal to the product of the volts and amps.
VA to kVA :
  • It is used to convert the apparent power in volt-amps (VA) to kilovolt-amps (kVA).
  • It is simple to use and only requires the exact value to give the accurate results.
  • Formula,(kVA) = S (VA) / 1000.
  • Which means that the apparent power S in Kilovolt amps is computed by dividing the apparent power in volt-amps by 1000.
  • It can also be expressed as,Kilovolt amps = volt amps / 1000 or kVA = VA / 100.
